Parsha Posts
4 Minute read
A. Parsha List and B. Parsha Contents
The weekly parsha lessons--with their Scriptures and commentary, form the heart of Contenders Voice on line services. The Torah-based truth revealed in these weekly readings will edify the students and help them grow in the wisdom and knowledge of Yeshua Ha Machiach.
Questions
To facilitate the learning process of each reader we have prepared, challenging questions and encourage our fledgling contenders of truth to utilize them following each parsha reading They are (a) excellent teaching aids, (b) challenging, and (c) will call for thought provoking responses. Therefore, be sure to use the questions for both individual study and group discussion. Contenders Voice lists examples of them below. They comprise an integral conclusion to the parsha lessons and also provide an effectual means for remembering each parsha's theme, standout points, and personal relevance. Look them over and answer them each before proceeding to the Torah listing that follows.
Contenders Voice Seven Parsha Questions
1. In your opinion, what is the emphasis of each of the readings individually: the Torah, the Haftorah, and the Brit Chadashah?
2. What is the common, central idea, or subject, that runs through and unites all the individual readings, as you see it?
3. Find in the Gospels where and how Yeshua declares, demonstrates, exemplifies, or exhibits the parsha's central truth, and explain. Give book, chapter, and verse. And what does this mean to your faith and life?
4. In what way is the glory of YHWH [manifestations of His goodness and/or presence] revealed in the parsha lesson?
5. What does the parsha teach you, or show you about your Hebrew roots or Hebraic heritage--your new identity in Messiah, your destiny, or your calling and duty as grafted into Israel through faith in Messiah Yeshua?
6. Exactly how did the Holy Spirit/the Ruach HaKodesh personally speak to your or lead you during prayer and study this week? [Ask and expect an answer!]
7. Do you, beloved of the King, expect to hear His voice when you fellowship with him in the communion of the Spirit? Disciples of Yeshua, our Good Shepherd are called to return to hearing the voice of Elohim and to functioning in the ministry of the Holy spirit. He said: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me" (John 10:27-28). Progressing in this effort is expected but will require spiritual hunger, faith, and practice. Persevere! He waits for us to approach Him. Ask for the Spirit of Truth to speak into your heart as you pray each day. Look for opportunities to lay hand on the sick, or be used in personal prophesy, or bear witness to Messiah. And be sure to share with your brethren and leaders any prophetic words or spiritual experiences you may encounter. In this way, you will do well.
Each Parsha Post's Pattern.
Parsha Post pattern. Each Torah parsha lesson has 4 parts. First is Psalm 119 with Torah-life insights. Secondly, the parsha's introduction, theme and relevant points are presented. Thirdly, the parsha's concluding commentary is set forth with Nazarene Israel relevance cited and personal applications for the reader’s edification and encouragement. And fourthly, the parsha lesson questions are available here--on the Parsha Post page. Again, be sure to return and answer them after reading the material. Test yourself!
Planned Expansion
Note: The weekly parsha lessons are scheduled to come online soon, and they will be posted according to the yearly schedule. Eventually, each parsha lesson will be fashioned and presented in three versions: Comprehensive (Adult), Youth, and Kids. Finally, we plan to include a Spanish version eventually. I invite you to scroll down to Exodus--and click on Parsha Tetzaveh, parts 1 and 2. It is our sample lesson.
